Where did it go? – September 2015

First month of school – where did it go?

I hardly got a first day of school picture from the kids.  Couldn’t get them all together, as the girls go to the same location earlier than Harrison; and he is off in another city for his Quest program.  (1 more year, and they’ll all be back together again!)
It wouldn’t be the first day of school, if it wasn’t raining.

The first week of school, Holly’s entire middle school of 90 go on a retreat/Outdoor Education camp. This year they went to the girl scout camp, River Ranch. Gorgeous week they had, the picture above of the lake, is where they had a campfire and s’mores.

September 17, 2015 – Greg celebrated his 25th year at Microsoft.  I threw him a party at this beautiful restaurant The Blue Sardinia, and our children, long-time friends and co-workers shared in the event.  The crystal he received for this achievement, was so huge, it came in it’s own luggage.  We had an open bar and buffet of assorted pizzas including a pear and gorgonzola cheese, veal meatballs, caprese – fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil, Insalata cuore diLattuga (Ceasar salad with toasted anchovies) and Trio di Dolici – three yummy bite-size cheesecake, tiramisu and a chocolate/cherry dome.

In the background, on a huge flat screen played a screen show where I had scanned in memorabilia saved over the last 25 years; pictures of Greg’s work, co-workers and work milestones.

It was a great evening filled with wonderful, long-time friends!
