When Holly was in 2nd grade, she was having a hard time to write a story about her home state of Washington. I tried to model an example of something that she may write ~ by answering the questions the teacher had given her. She wrote nothing like this, but this is the basis of what the Northwest Update began as; info about my new hometown.
