August 2011 – We showed up with cut fruit (catalope, grapes and cherries) for Joe, who just went on Weight Watchers the Monday before and said he could “gorge” on fruit, zero points.   Greg wanted to bring in Sunrise Donuts for Bob, Spike, Jodi, Gus, Pedro, Eric and Luciana.

We rode in the elevator to the 4th floor with Don who had played on many twisted tunes and was now playing with Roger Fisher the original member of Heart.    We waited in the lobby with the musicians and the camera crew, because they were filming Roger’s lifestory.

Luciana brought us back, put the band in the Green Room and we were escorted to the most comforable theater chairs to enjoy the show.   We shared our goods and the guys were very gracious.

Bob asked what do you call the twisted donuts, and I said, ‘cruller’ and he looked at me and said, “yes, that’s what they call them on the East Coast.”

Dave Maynard, long-time radio host was a special guest as well, so it was a very busy day in the studio and very exciting to see Mr. Maynard as well.

They all took time for a photo at the end of the show.  And Joe appreciated the fruit tray we brought him.

It was a great experience.

Since then, The Bob Rivers Show has disbanded as Bob retired from radio in August 2014, because of the pending birth of his granddaughter, Hazel.  He wanted to enjoy being a grandparent as well as his other hobbies of gardening, hiking and playing with his band.
