sip in Issaquah

One word for sip: Amazing.  The service: excellent, the staff: adorable, the food: 5 star.  I went there knowing it was a “wine bar” but wasn’t planning to have anything to drink for dinner; but once we were seated at our black linen tablecloth table, surrounded by elegantly hanging bottles of wine, I couldn’t resist taking a wine flight.

Greg and I had a date night, trying to take advantage of Seattle Restaurant Week (sadly, not available during the Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday brunch), but we wanted to try this restaurant out anyway.

The only real issue was that there was too much to choose from.  In fact, we discussed so much of what we wanted to have, when it was time to order, we asked for something that we were ‘thinking’ about – the homemade vegetarian raviolis with caramelized onions and ricotta cheeses, they also had a sausage one as well.

We actually started with Caesar salads and I had the Tiger Prawns that were displayed in the most beautiful looking dish, atop of garlic mashed potatoes – YUM!   Greg had the New York fillet, cooked to perfection.  And we topped it off with French pressed decaf coffees and the creamiest pumpkin cheese cake, that we shared, but we could have ordered two.

It was elegant, lovely and we would definitely go there again.

We went so early, that we were able to see a 7:30pm movie in Issaquah….The Big Year.
