1. Last summer we discovered how extremely fun the ProClub’s Family Fun Night on Saturdays was for our family. In fact, the Pro Sports Club continued running the program through the winter and and has now added a Super Fun Sundays (for ProClub family members only). Originally, it was open to everyone, but now it is limited to members. Free to members; dinner will cost $. Saturdays are more for younger kids, under 6, Sundays for older kids, 8 and over. Sunday has laser tag – very fun.
2. Want to get Free POPCORN for your Regal Movie! There’s a couple of stipulations, but you can do them on your phone: Liking on Facebook and Checking In at a Regal Cinema, but once that’s done – eat your popcorn for free!
3. Visit one of our great Sammamish Parks! One of our favorite parks is Ebright Creek Park in Sammamish.
4. No-longer Free, but still fun: Family Movies at your local Regal theater, now called Summer Movie Express.
5. Bring a lunch to Crossroads Park after the movie. Pack your kids swim suit (or change of clothes), sunglasses, sunscreen, blanket, bug spray, snacks and drinks!
Crossroads Park in Bellevue. The park has nice climbing structures, lots of open grassy areas, we fly kites and a new “water park” area with a whale and water globe; plus long, looping sidewalks for riding toys, bikes and scooters.
Directions: Located at 164th and NE 8th. From 405, take the NE 8th exit and head east. After the Crossroads Mall area, watch for a driveway into the park parking lot and turn left into the lot. (There is another parking lot on the other side of the park off of 164th, just past the 7-11.)
6. Bellevue has their Farmers Market in the Crossroads parking lot near the cineama on Wednesdays (check this – I did see a sign that said Bellevue’s Farmer’s Market was a different day). Once or twice we have watched a movie, hanged out at the park and then ended up at the farmer’s market.
7. Kids 12 & Under Eat Free, Monday-Friday at the Original Pancake House in Kirkland. Yum! The kids love the pancakes and the orange juice is so fresh!
